Wushu is an important component in China's cultural heritage which has a history of thousands of years. Wushu or often called Kungfu is a martial art that originated in ancient China, and spread throughout the world through a Chinese named Hua Ren who went abroad.
The history of the emergence of Wushu itself cannot be traced anymore, because it is thousands of years old. Maybe as old as Chinese history that often occurs in many wars. At that time the art of fighting and surviving was widely known, but in a simple form. Maybe this is where the origin of martial arts called Wushu emerged.
The word Wushu comes from two words namely "Wu" and "Shu". The meaning of the word "Wu" is the science of war, while the meaning of the word "Shu" is art. So that Wushu can also be interpreted as the art of war or martial arts (Martial Art). In wushu, we also study art, sports, health, self-defense, and mentality.
Studying Wushu is not only limited to things related to physical movements and violence, but also involves the mind. Studying Wushu means that we also learn to process breathing, understand the anatomy of our body, and also learn potions or drugs to strengthen the body and for treatment.
In addition, practicing Wushu will also train us to be more disciplined, intelligent, alert, confident, warrior-minded, brotherly and so on.
